Gomphrena globosa
Bright, joyful bunches of naturally dried gomphrena, also known as globe amaranth, in a gorgeous shade of magenta purple.
These sweet and crispy pom poms remind me of summertime fields of wild clover, and this particular variety reminds me of how mother nature provides every single colour in the rainbow, naturally; there is simply no need for dyed dried flowers when every shade imaginable is already available to us in a natural, compostable form.
These cheerful little flowers retain their shape and colour perfectly, making them a classic flower for drying and a beautiful supporting flower in everlasting arrangements, bouquets, and wreaths.
- Branching stems may vary in height. Please note that the stems are semi sturdy, meaning that some may be suitable for vases and some may not; I don't see that as a defect in a flower, it simply means that they should be enjoyed in a creative way. I love seeing these flowers hung up along hooks, from a branch, or Flower Hanger. They are also ideal for using in wreaths, flower crowns, garlands, and flower clouds.
- Bunches are a medium size and measure approximately L 30cm x W 15cm; they are carefully wrapped in tissue paper and twine and are beautifully presented with flower care instructions included.
- Flowers are completely natural, always locally grown and naturally dried by hand in my home studio. They will last for years with a bit of care, but can ultimately be home composted.
