A wreath is a loving symbol of warmth and welcome, an adornment that celebrates the beauty of the natural world. These asymmetrical, crescent-shaped wreaths are a unique take on the more classic style, accentuating the special details of each natural vine base.
These are the dried floral creations that inspired AMBLE & TWINE – I started making everlasting wreaths while I was pregnant with Ella and was looking for natural, low-maintenance ways to decorate her nursery; since then, my love for this craft still grows with each one that I make.
My wreath-making began with my habit of foraging vines from our family farm in Crescent Head... that, mixed with my obsessive flower growing habits at home, has resulted in these wonderful treasures. The closer you look, the more you will find. The plants and flowers I use are vast and varied and are subject to what is blooming in my garden, what is available to collect in the wild, and what is in season at local flower farms.
I have carefully foraged and woven each base myself and I do not use any glue or adhesives while making these so that if they do come to their end, you can remove the twine and re-use the base indefinitely. The materials are completely natural and untreated so that they may be composted and return to the soil from which they came.
Styles: A Neutral style includes white, cream, ivory, green, beige, brown and small hint of colour; Warm styles feature earthy tones of burgundy, rust, salmon, peach and apricot; For a Blush style, you can expect sweet pinks, blush tones, white and bits of peach or yellow; and Bright styles have a vibrant feel, with bright yellow, mauve, pink, orange, and white.
Please feel free to get in touch with any special requests or leave me some extra notes in the Notes section before checking out, or send me a photo of wreath that you love, so that I can work off of that image.
